CSAmerica: Who We Are and What We Do
    CSAmerica: Advancing Democracy, Fostering Leadership

CSAmerica is a student-run, nonpartisan program for college students. At many schools, CSAmerica is the only nonpartisan political and open debate club on campus. There are many political clubs on college campuses, but nearly all of them have a partisan slant. Likewise, debate societies and teams exist at almost every college, but are usually limited to experienced debaters who are versed in the intricacies of competitive debate.

CSAmerica is a forum for students to debate pertinent issues in a friendly atmosphere, regardless of their previous debating experience. Our debate format is easy to learn and emphasizes participation. Chapters work to improve civic education, voter participation, and overall political awareness on their respective college campus. These chapters exemplify the three fundamental principles of CSAmerica, which are:

    1) Idea-Oriented and Participation-Friendly Debate
    2) Civic Education and Voter Participation
    3) Political Awareness for College Students
